I'm still trying to figure out how come everyone knows who I am! Is the letter S so rare?
Anyway, the break did work for me, and the reason turned out to be subtle: my focus shifted.

Well, I knew you had something on submission and had been communicating with an acquisitions editor...in other words, getting pretty close to making a sale, and from the blogs I knew M had done some beta reading for you...so it wasn't too much of a stretch after reading M's blog and the comments today to figure out who "S" was.
Again, congratulations! I hope your book is a huge success.
And if any of my readers are wondering who "S" is, Mum's the word. We'll let him make his own announcement in his own time.
Hey, I know about S & M...now if only I wrote it. From what I understand, it sells well for small/e-press.
And I can also add A + B and C who got a deal! Congrats to S.
Hope it works for you, Jude. That may become the universal hopeful author symbol because you bet your ass I'll post it to my blog the second you get a deal. lol
What's kind of depressing, Lainey, is being old enough to actually remember that test pattern when they were using it, LOL.
